Maximilian Büsser & Friends (MB&F) is one of my favorite luxury watchmakers, one of the reasons is their out-of-this-world design and I think Max Busser is a cool cat. Their latest watch pair is a slightly new take on the Horological Machine No. 4 Thunderbolt (HM4), the two new versions are called HM4 Double Trouble and HM4 Razzle Dazzle.
The original HM4 Thunderbolt was designed to show Max Busser’s love of vintage airplanes and the two limited edition timepieces (only 8 of each version will be produced) take the airplane concept a few steps further by adding vintage pinup art, titanium rivets on the “fuselage”, and vintage bomber jacket inspired brown leather straps.
The pinup art was done by Geneva based artist Isabelle Villa and features two girls wearing red dresses, showing a bit of the “unmentionables” and a lot of leg, on the HM4 Double Trouble – a very appropriate name by the way. The HM4 Razzle Dazzle features a girl with wings wearing a red dress, just the type of pinup art you’d find on vintage fighter planes.
MB&F continues to impress with some of the most amazing timepieces; I can’t wait to see what they come up with next. If anyone is interested in purchasing the limited edition MB&F HM4 Razzle Dazzle or HM4 Double Trouble, they are priced at $216,000 each!
