The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a pretty luxurious car in stock form and the top of the line S600 is even more luxurious and packs a powerful V12 engine. But for some people the standard S600 isn’t luxurious enough and they customize it to the extreme levels; a good example is the TopCar tuned Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard.
TopCar, a Russian car tuning firm, created a bespoke super-luxury edition car for one of their super-rich customers. From the outside, the car looks like a standard S600 that has been armor plated and is equipped with thick bullet-proof glass; the interior is where the magic happens.
The interior upgrades are not for the faint of heart, you’re either going to love it or hate it; I’m guessing the Russian customer loves it. Even TopCar describes the interior as “outlandish”. The upgrades consist of all new leather upholstery, everywhere. The dashboard, seats, and door panels are upholstered with mustard/yellow-ish Nappa leather with brown alligator leather highlights. The ceiling is covered with Alcantara and the carpets look to be leather or some other crazy material, the same material is also found in the trunk.
The interior also features lots of Karelin birch wood trim on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console, and door panels. And what over-the-top bespoke luxury car would be complete without the Midas touch? The TopCar tuned S600 Guard features plenty of gold accents throughout the cabin. No word on price but I’m pretty sure it’s in the 6-figures.
