Most of the gigantic predatory species have come to the point of extinction and one of those is the great Megalodon. Its short form is Meg and it is not cute as it sounds. It is known to be the largest predatory species that prowled the seas 28 million years ago. It consumed 1 ton capacity of fish and whales for its daily survival. Had It been alive today, it would have reached extinction since there would be a shortage of whales and dolphins to sustain it.

Well, very big as far as research states. But if being accurate, then it would have been around 40 feet. If it has reached its heights growth, then it would also be around 59 feet. But one shocking revelation is that during the research, they have got a specimen of the gigantic fish’s teeth and that teeth measure up to 7 feet. Now you can understand how big it was. Its fossils are the only means to calculate its accurate dimensions. But basically, it is the largest creature that ever existed on Earth.
Method of hunting
The prehistoric monster has a rough way of eating which involves tearing up the prey’s chest and punctures the lungs. With the help of its large jaws sharp like a knife, it is scarier and monstrous. It usually preys on big sea creatures like sea turtles, whales, dolphins, etc.

So that greatly affected the Megalodon’s food availability. Due to this scenario, the monstrous creatures were pushed to the point of extinction and died without food.

Well, if it had, there would have been breaking news by now. It is believed to have reached the extinction stage but still a few people who research on it, tend to believe it exists.
