In the early 1990s when most of us didn’t even have cellular phones, AT&T was airing commercials that made a few bold predictions in terms of technological advances that would take place in the near future. Although not everything came true, it’s pretty neat to see how some of the things they mention indeed are available to us such as video conference calling, pre-paid tolls, and having access to books on computers. Some of the things are actually even better than what was predicted. AT&T didn’t make all of this happen, but it’s interesting to see that many companies have worked hard to connect everybody worldwide. It would have been nice if they also warned us about 3-Year contracts and ridiculous phone bills.
