You know, I saw this trailer posted and thought to myself, man, what a stupid looking movie. After reluctantly watching the trailer, I’m actually pretty excited to go see it. I’ve had a real craving for science fiction films lately, and MS ONE Maximum Security fits the bill for that. Not only is this science fiction, it also stars Guy Pearce (of Memento fame) and Maggie Grace, the actress best known for her bratty character on Lost, but who will forever live in my heart as the “teenager” in Taken. And speaking of Taken, guess who co-wrote MS One? That’s right, Luc Besson.
Now, I won’t spoil the story for you as it’s already incredibly flimsy and not worth spoiling, but I do recommend that you pay close attention to the dialogue. Despite the incredibly weak story (think of Escape from LA), the dialogue is pretty damn funny. The interactions between Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace are great, and the way that “the wrongly accused” talks to one of his torturers is awesome as well.

Overall the movie looks like an excellent blend of near future science fiction, hilarious dialogue, and the type of action that Luc Besson is famous for.
