Season 6 Recap
Season 6 saw some big changes in Bon Temps. It begins with Sookie and Eric fleeing the Authority compound following Bill’s reincarnation. War was also declared on the vampires by the Louisiana governor and Eric shocked Pam by telling her he was no longer her maker and she no longer had to follow his orders. Her response to this was to accompany Tara to Fangtasia where a SWAT team shot Tara and announced that all vampire businesses were to close.
In later episodes Sookie and Jason met their fairy grandfather, Nora died causing Eric to take the vampires’ fate into his own hands and Sookie and Bill clashed over his intention to use Warlow’s blood.
In the final episode of Season 6, “Radioactive”, Jason has his first experience of a vampire attraction and Bill discovered that salvation didn’t come free of charge as he lost his powers he had gained from Lilith’s blood. Sookie considered her future and the part Warlow would play in it. At the same time a new crisis was building which would pose a threat to both humans and vampires in the form of the Hepatitis-V virus.
The main protagonists suggest that every human be paired with a healthy vampire for protection. This takes place at Sam’s bar which has been renamed Bellefleur’s. The season closed with everyone in this building for the pairing and it being surrounded by a horde of infected vampires ready to attack….
What to expect in Season 7
One thing we can be sure of is that this final season will be more bang than whimper, as such a high velocity supernatural programme is not going to bid farewell quietly. How the above showdown at Bellefleur’s pans out is anyone’s guess. Can we expect the loss of a couple of main characters? How Jason reacts to finding vampires attractive is another question we all want answering, as is how Eric will continue on his mission to handle the fate of the vampires.
The relationship between Sookie and Bill will no doubt still command attention, and over the 10 episodes we can expect many twists and turns. Will Eric and Pam bury their differences or continue down different paths and what does the future hold for Bon Temps and all who reside there? Luckily we don’t have long to wait to find out….
Shows been around for so long, hmm never curious enough to watch it though. Seems interesting.. I guess
