Notebooks are great for jotting down quick notes to reference later or just keeping a list of all the things you need to get done, but more often than not you use up all of these notebooks and then throw them out because you don’t need to keep that kind of stuff longer than a couple of months. This is not only a waste of paper, but it also just fills your office and your home with unnecessary notebooks and takes up lots of valuable space. While you could write things down on your computer, that’s not always for everyone. So what would the solution be?
Turns out, there’s a great solution to this that solves all of the above problems and then some. The Rocketbook Wave Smart Notebook acts just like a regular notebook with a pen, but you can then microwave the notebook to erase it and reuse it. Revolutionary!
What’s even more awesome about this notebook is that you can actually send your notes to Google Docs, Dropbox, iCloud, Evernote, Box and more, so you can still keep a digital record of everything but still handwrite your notes the way that you like to.
Another aspect that makes this notebook quite so great for everyone is that it’s compatible with any device and you can get the Rocketbook app both for Android and iOS.
In the app, you can take a photo of what you’re writing in the notebook and it will automatically turn it into an image like a PDF that you can then save for future reference.
To erase and reuse the notebook, you’ll need to put it in the microwave at 140 degrees and the length of time it requires will depend on your microwave. The downside is that it’s only good for up to 5 uses, after that it becomes difficult to write on.
This is excellent value at just under $30. When you consider how much an actual notebook would cost you and the fact you get at least five uses out of it, you not only save money, but you’re saving on space as well.
Some of the things that set this notebook apart, besides the erasing aspect, is that it’s so easy to scan, organize and collaborate with other people using handwritten notes. In the past, this would be made difficult because you’d need a real copy machine to scan in to share with other people, but this you can take a photo and turn it into a PDF and share via whatever online service you use for documents.
And if you’re not convinced that you really need something like this, just think of it as being space efficient and just plain cool. When you’re not paying a premium for it, you almost have to think why the heck not.
