The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of the most luxurious cars out there and the latest S-Class is not only super-luxurious but also full of some of most advanced technologies ever seen in a car. Mercedes has taken all of that luxury, style, and technology and applied it to a yacht, called the Mercedes-Benz Style Arrow460 Granturismo; the yacht will be available in 2015.
The project is a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine, I’m guessing these are subsidiaries of MB; the yacht is being showcased at the Monaco Yacht Show. The company has brought a miniature version of the yacht to the show, measuring only two meters; the finished product will measure over 14 meters in length.
Like the S-Class, the Arrow460 yacht is made for passenger comfort with high quality materials like nubuk leather and eucalyptus wood panels in the passenger cabins. The yacht has room for up to 10 passengers and comes with a slide-in bed and dining table. The interior is an open-concept design, with lots of space for passengers to move around, and glazed windows to let the right amount of light in.
Although we haven’t seen the finished product, the design in the renderings looks very sporty. The Arrow460 Granturismo looks fast while standing still; speaking of fast, the yacht will be powered by a pair of Yanmar diesel engines producing a combined 960 horsepower.
From what I understand, an initial batch of 10 yachts, called “special edition 1” will be available in 2015 with a price of $1.69 million each (€1.25 million). Via: MB Style
