Segway has introduced yet another scooter, Segway Kickscooter T60, to their lineup but this time featuring AI. The AI makes it self-driving with the capability to return back to its charging dock eliminating the need for someone to take it its charging station. The T60 also has sensors to detect objects nearby, thereby avoiding them and can be controlled remotely through cloud technology. It also has safety features to help cross traffic lights and crosswalks safely. It has a maximum speed of 20mph with the ability to adjust to a lower speed to obey traffic rules.
The Kickscooter T60 is expected to launch sometime in April 2020 but not much information has been given about this scooter. From what we’ve seen, this scooter has a slim build, allowing it to ride through narrow paths. The scooter design and rear-wheel drive also allows a more stable ride. It’s expected to cost about $1420 and the company is in talks with Uber and Lyft, as these companies have plans to add scooter-sharing sectors. We hope to get more details soon but, in the meantime, check out their launch video.
