When I a young(er) man, I had an obsession with button down shirts and high fashion. I ate, breathed, and slept it. I’ve since taken a fancy to street clothes, but I’ve still got a soft-spot for the classier looking garments. I break them out whenever I need something a little more refined that a pair of jeans and a chambray shirt.
I also happen to enjoy clothing launch videos, because I’m a bit of a clothing nerd like that. So to celebrate the release of Ted Baker’s AW14 collection, they have launched ‘Take the Lead’, a beautifully choreographed film showcasing the latest collection, contrasting modern finishes with classic touches. It’s an enjoyable little film, and if you’ve got a few minutes to spare then you should definitely give it a watch. The imagery is pretty stunning.
There are very few things that make me feel nostalgic, but this is right up there with Lana Del Rey’s music. Watching this reminded me of all my nights prowling the local bars and clubs, looking for love. It was a magical time in my life, a fantasy world, much like this little film.
The main difference being that this striking young gentleman is much better dressed than I ever was during my early 20s…
If you’re interested in seeing the entire Ted Baker collection, you can do so by visiting their official website and browsing around. They do a pretty spiffy men and women’s line, and… you know the drill.
Remember, when you’re in the spotlight, you’ve got to dance like everybody’s watching. No, seriously… everyone looks like an idiot dancing, so might as well own it. Trust me, the ladies will be all over you. Considering that a bit of parting advice from a man that was there not so long ago.
