We’ve finally gotten a trailer for Terminator: Genisys. I had a chance to watch it last night, and I’ve been mulling it over since then. Friends, let me tell you… I’m torn. It’s been so long since we’ve had a good Terminator movie, but I’m not going to sugar coat it for you: you may confuse the acting in this movie with the stars of your favorite porno.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s kind of a bad thing. When upon hearing Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) shout out the classic “come with me if you want to live!,” let’s just say that I didn’t spell come like that. It’s true, I’m disgusting… but the acting, you’ll see.
Now before you get all update with me, I’m willing to admit that Terminator: Genisys might actually be amazing in a Total Recall sort of way. I’m talking about the original, not that filth of a remake with Colin Farrell. Good in an 80s sort of way. Stylized, over the top, pointlessly violent.
Terminator: Genisys is due out some time in the summer of 2015. After the major letdown of the last film, let’s hope they manage to pull this one together. One day Arnie really won’t be able to make these movies anymore.
