When I first heard about this, “Insane in the Membrane” is what came to mind. The EdgeWalk is probably the only cool thing Toronto has to offer and has about the same “shit your pants” factor as skydiving and bungee jumping.
The EdgeWalk attraction opened up to the public on August 1st and is the world’s highest full circle hands-free walk on a 5 ft. wide ledge encircling the top of the Tower’s main pod. To be clear, this 5 ft ledge has no side rails! Thrill seekers get an opportunity to walk in groups of six while attached to an overhead safety rail via a trolley and harness system. The participants who are crazy enough are allowed to lean back over the edge with nothing but air and amazing views of Lake Ontario 1168 feet beneath them.
Tickets to the EdgeWalk cost $175 and will run for 1.5 hours which includes the bone chilling 30-minute outdoor walk on the ledge. That stiff price also includes photos, a keepsake video, and certificate of achievement. Ticket holders also receive a Total Tower Experience Ticket which includes access to things such as the Look Out, Sky Pod, Glass Floor, and Movie & Motion Theater Ride.

Why the hate-on for Toronto? Say what you want about the city, but a lack of cool things to do has never been its problem. Have you ever been there?
