This Expendables 2 trailer falls square in the category of “I’m surprised this didn’t come out sooner”. No, really… I mean, we all knew that – given the massive cash cow that The Expendables was – that the studio would make a sequel, but I’m genuinely surprised that it took them this long. The Expendables 2 has all the makings of another box office hit. It has an all star cast of 80s and present day action stars, a flimsy story, and no doubt hours upon hours of explosions. Oh, and Chuck Norris. Sign me up!
This trailer doesn’t show a lot, but we do see brief clips of all the actors (most importantly Chuck Norris – I can’t stress that enough) and a bit of useless dialogue from Die Hard veteran Bruce Willis. He rambles something to Stallone about paying him back, blah blah, bring on the explosions. We also get to see how old and crotchety Arnold Swarzeneger is. Honestly, the man must be at least 100 years old now, and given his recent publicity (to put it nicely), I’m surprised he’s showing his face on the silver screen. Perhaps he’s trying to make a come back?
