British car builder Noble has finally released their production version of the Noble M600. At first glance, the M600 looks somewhat like the iconic McLaren F1 and it isn’t too far from being in the same class of exclusivity and exoticness (is that even a word?). The new M600 comes complete with a beautiful all-carbon fiber body and a mid mounted 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine from Yamaha. The V8 is capable of producing up to 650 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 604 pound-feet (868 Nm) of torque at 3,800 rpm and is mated to a Graziano six-speed manual transmission.
Thanks to the use of carbon fiber in the construction of the entire body, the Noble M600 weighs in at an astounding 2,640 pounds (1,200 kilograms), 110 lbs. (50 kg) less than the prototype. With all that horsepower and light weight, the M600 propels from 0 to 120 miles per hour in a mere 8.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 225 mph.
With the new engine, the driver is able to control the power as they see fit with the use of a cool gizmo called the Adaptable Performance Control (APC), which allows the driver to choose from three different horsepower settings: 450, 550, and 650 hp. The APC adjusts the power output, traction, throttle response and boost curve.
No word on the pricing of the Noble M600 but we will report it here, we expect to find out before launch time around the summer of 2011.
