It’s finally happening; a console is getting an RPG that features not only a plethora of sword fighting mayhem, but also lots and lots of nudity… like… so much. Yes, it’s true… Xbox360 owners are getting The Witcher 2!
For those of us that are smart enough to do our gaming on a PC have, well… this doesn’t mean a whole lot, but I am excited for those of you that are console owners. The Witcher franchise is amazing, and though I believe you’ll be playing it on an inferior platform, I’m happy that you’ll at least get to experience it. I mean, just look at this trailer!

CD Projekt released The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for the PC last month, and though sales are great, I can certainly appreciate why they want to break into the console market. There are many times more console gamers than PC gamers – at least in North America – and now their only real competition is Bioware’s Dragon Age 2, which is really no competition at all. Now, my major question about the release is whether they’ll censor any of the boobs/sex scenes, or whether they’ll find a way to keep that in. I can’t imagine a retailer like Wall-Mart carrying a game that features a character having sex with women out of wedlock!
There’s currently no known release date for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2, but I imagine they’ll announce that in the coming weeks. I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t leverage the success of their already popular PC version to help bolster sales for the console port.
