If you’ve ever lived with a woman before, or happen to have long hair yourself, then you know how disgusting it is to clear a clogged shower drain after months of hair slowly accumulating. We’ve all seen it, the water draining more and more slowly with each passing shower, our shower getting dirty from the stagnant water. Not much fun, right?
You’ve probably even tried a few shower tub strainers, those little filters that sit on top of the shower drain ineffectively trying to catch all the hair. They work for a week, the holes get completely plugged up with grime, and you’re back where you started.
Personally, I found this pretty damn annoying, but had resigned myself to scooping out mountains of hair from the drain every few days. That is, until I heard about a little device called the TubShroom. Here’s what it looks like…
… and it sits in your drain like this…
… and the reason we’re having this conversation is because the TubShroom works so well, that I actually decided to write an article about a shower drain strainer. I mean, that’s basically what it is, a little plug that catches hair.
The difference with the TubShroom is that it actually works. It not only catches hair better than any of the dozens of other drain sparing gadgets I’ve tried over the years, but it also allows water to continue flowing for much longer because of the increased surface area of the TubShroom.
Maybe you’re laughing because I’m writing about a $12 gadget that keeps a drain free from hair, but I’m telling you… the TubShroom will change your life.
