Winter is finally here. If you’re an adventure seeker with a love of the outdoors, there’s nowhere better to spend the winter months than Wyoming. It’s stunningly beautiful, and incredibly wild. The perfect place for adventure.
Whether you’re looking to blast across the snowy landscape on a dog sled tour, or take to the skies in a heli-skiing adventure, Wyoming has it all. In fact, Wyoming – and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in particular – has some of the very best skiing and snowboarding not only in North America, but the world.
According to the Wyoming Office of Tourism, Jackson Hole gets an average of 459 inches of snow per year, while Grand Targhee – another popular Wyoming resort – racks up more than 500 inches! That’s a whole lot of pow pow, making Wyoming a true snowboarder’s paradise for winter enthusiasts of all skill levels.
It’s no wonder that even the legendary Travis Rice – a Wyoming native who happens to be one of the best big mountain snowboarders in the world – loves to blast down the 2,500 acres of snowy Wyoming terrain.
Speaking of Travis Rice…
The Wyoming Office of Tourism is holding a contest that any true snowboarder will love. They’re calling it the Roam with Rice Sweepstakes, and after signing up you’ll have a shot at winning one of the following:
- Grand Prize: Trip for 2 to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and two Wyoming Travis Rice Lib Tech Edition autographed snowboards.
- 2nd Prize: 10 winners of one Wyoming Travis Rice Lib Tech Edition autographed snowboard.
Pretty awesome, right? All you have to do is head over to the Roam with Rice Sweepstakes page and fill out your details. If you’re one of the lucky winners, you’ll either set off to spend some quality time with Travis Rice on the slopes of Wyoming, or set off on your own with a brand new Wyoming Travis Rice Lib Tech Edition autographed snowboard.
