I have an extremely long bucket list which mainly consists of countries to check out. I’m happy to report that I was able to check one thing off my Bucket List this past weekend. Bungee jumping is one of those things that I’ve day dreamed about for years now but never really “got around to doing”.
I was headed to Whistler, BC (Host Mountain Resort of the 2010 Winter Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games) for a friend’s birthday weekend and decided that it was time to take the plunge. The jump at Whistler Bungee is a 160-ft drop towards a river and the area is surrounded by beautiful mountain views and trees. Check out the pictures of my experience below.
Having second thoughts already!
Still thinking about it
Here we go!
What could I possibly be thinking at this point?
All done! Time to get pulled back up to the bridge.
This was definitely a fun experience and I would totally do it again. The initial feeling of the free fall was amazing and scary at the same time. This is by far the scariest thing I’ve done to date. Although I knew I would survive the jump, there was still fear – especially when it’s your first time. I’m glad to get bungee jumping off my bucket list but it looks like I just added one more place to my list – bungee jumping at the AJ Hackett Macau Tower which is the world’s highest bungee jump.
If any of you guys are ever in the Whistler, BC area, I would highly recommend checking out Whistler Bungee. The staff are friendly, enjoy their line of work, and fun group of guys and girls.
