Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming out in just a few short months. If you’ve read my review, you know I’m a huge fan of the last one, a reboot of the Tomb Raider series by Square Enix. Starring actress Camilla Luddington as the voice and motion captured body of Lara Croft, Tomb Raider took us on an incredible journey of adventure and survival on a mysterious island.
The sequel promises to be every bit as exciting, with one huge improvement: we’ll actually raid some tombs. That was a particular weak point of the reboot, and I’m looking forward to finally exploring some beautifully rendered tombs this time around.
Just a little bit longer…
Sadly, us mere mortals need to wait just a little bit longer, but not so for one Melonie Mac. She’s managed to play the first three hours of the game, says they’re incredible, and shared about 10 minutes worth of gameplay footage for us to see. Check it out…
Pretty cool, right? Well, here’s some new high resolution screenshots to go along with the video.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is arriving exclusively for Xbox One on November 10th, 2015. If you’re a PC gamer like me, you’ll have to wait longer… possibly much longer. There’s no confirmed release date for the PC version, save that it’s likely to hit sometime in 2016. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but don’t get your hopes up. It’s clear that Microsoft threw heaps of money at Cystal Dynamics and Square Enix to make this happen.
