As you may have heard, there was a massive explosion in Beirut that – at the time of this writing – had claimed the lives of more than 50 people, with many more thousands injured.
This is a tragedy, and my heart goes out to the families of anyone affected by this awful event. Can you imagine going through this? Depending on where you live in the world, this probably isn’t a common occurrence for you. That’s why I’ve decided to re-publish this cellphone footage, to show people what large explosions actually look like in real life, vs the completely unrealistic depictions we see in the movies, where people are hurled into the air, only to get back up again with their perfect hair and makeup.
As there’s no graphic content in this footage, I felt comfortable publishing it.

As you can see, there’s nothing fun about it. I hope that the source of the explosion is found quickly and that this never happens again.
