Andrew Jeong is the new poker master in town making heading. The number one South Korean player swiftly rose to the top of the game with innate understanding and mastery of the game. Many might have come to learn of Andrew in the poker scene this year, but he is arguably one of the most experienced players in the game. Andrew started playing poker as a regular cash player from a young age, and since then, it has been his number one passion. However, Andrew did not participate in any competitions until early this year when he took part in his first-ever tournament series at the WSOP.

Though it was his debut in the scene, Andrew has taken over with his unmatched game skills that currently rate him at the top in South Korea. He has also won numerous awards and recognitions. He presently has four cashes from money finishes, one final table, and he is going for the highly coveted WSOP bracelet, an award he is certain to claim soon. He is super confident in his knowledge of the game and his potential to rise and possibly dominate the global stage.

Andrew is also a renowned personality in the business world, running multiple successful ventures. He is a self-made entrepreneur who started a branding and web development company in South Korea at 21. Andrew has since then scaled to own a franchise of businesses in the US, including Bonsaintz, a clothing brand widely worn by many K-Pop celebrities and notable personalities across the world. He has also brought investments for tourism projects in South Korea, one of the country’s economy’s thriving sectors, and made investments in notable companies such as Corsair and BioMarin Pharmaceutical Company, and many others.

Though successful in the business environment, Andrew states that the journey to the top has been full of challenges and career obstacles. Despite him easily finding a way through most of them, Andrew highlights that his most significant obstacle was finding the right human resources to entrust with managing his companies.

“I think putting trust in the wrong managers, friends, and even family with businesses gave me the hardest time mentally. Because of what I went through, I’ve now found myself able to manage businesses in a much more productive manner, make the right investments, and trust the right people,”

As a poker player, Andrew’s major challenge has been managing his expectations while still being impatient; He also adds that he was reluctant to improve his skill, a significant setback that held back his breakthrough in the industry. Luckily, becoming friends with other great professional players helped him understand his weaknesses and craft his game to be where it is now. He takes pride in his ability to face and overcome the challenges positively by taking them as life lessons.

Andrew now thinks that what’s most important in anything in life for everyone is being self-aware and understanding your surroundings. He believes that you have to understand who you are, what you love, what you’re good and bad at to improve and be successful in anything you really want to do.

Andrew is focused on expanding his franchise businesses, clothing brand, and making smart investments. He is also keen on scaling his poker brand by winning many more tournaments during his free time.
