Here’s another watchmaker you may not have heard of before, Yeslam Genève; I certainly hadn’t heard of them before today. The company was founded by Saudi-born Yeslam, in 2005; initially producing high-end perfumes, sunglasses, and leather goods. Later on, the company started producing watches with the help of a pair of Swiss watchmakers. The watches combine Asian design elements with Swiss watchmaking traditions.
The latest watches to come out of their workshop are the Yeslam Makkah and Yeslam Medina, representing two of the holiest cities in Islam.
The watches come with very clean looking stainless steel cases that measure 42mm. The dials feature images of the Kaaba, on the Makkah watch, and Al-Masjid al Nabawi mosque on the Medina watch. The images have a guilloche background, giving the images a 3D look.
Other than the images on the dials, the dials have been kept very simple with a pair of blue dauphine hands with white luminova coating. There are 12 round ball-like hour markers on the dial, which might be pearls but I’m not 100% certain. The dials are covered with AR coated sapphire crystals and the watches come with see-through case backs. Black cowhide leather straps with deployant clasps complete the classic look.
The Yeslam Makkah and Medina watches will be produced in a limited number, and are powered by Swiss ETA caliber 2892-A2 automatic movements with 42 hours of power reserve and are water resistant to 30 meters. Via: Yeslam
