Italian coachbuilder, Zagato, is known for creating some very elegant custom cars. They recently produced the BMW Z4 Zagato Coupe and Roadster. Now they’ve turned their attention to Aston Martin and have created the Zagato DBS Coupe and Zagato DB9 Spyder.
The cars are one-off models for some very wealthy Aston Martin collectors, and were presented at Aston Martin’s 100th Anniversary party at Kensington Gardens. The party featured over 550 Aston Martin cars, valued at over $1.5 billion and over 50,000 people came to check out all the cars.
The Zagato DBS Coupe Centennial was commissioned for a young Japanese entrepreneur and the Zagato DB9 Spyder Centennial was made for American Aston Martin collector Peter Read. Both of these cars are based on production models; Zagato has given the cars a retro look, something you’d find in the 1970’s. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the styling, but I guess that’s just my opinion. Via: Zagato
